WOW! In the mist of everyone being sick around here my sweet husband again stayed home this weekend so I could go play a bit.
This time I was off to see Mercy Me in concert. Mercy Me was one of the first Christian bands that I listened to. Undoubtedly because I fell in love with the single I Can Only Imagine years ago when it came out. The list of songs that I have added is long and going to the concert was certainly a no brainier!
Deanne and I were off, one of the few times that we actually get face to face without a child interrupting our conversations. The funny thing is we're both such motor mouths I'm starting to wonder if it's really the kids fault we can't have a conversation from start to finish!

This next picture was at the concert

So don't get me wrong we had a blast and out of respect for my friends there that may have been among the 'sitters' we were seriously disturbed by the crowd! At one point I couldn't take it any longer. I had to stand, sing and dance. Mercy Me is blessed with talent and to be able to aim that talent at our King and sing was FUN! FUN! FUN! Oh and did I mention we were in the 3rd row? It was LOUD, fun but very loud. I decided that I'm a big girl and could take it!
Deanne and I made a comment before getting there about feeling old and I can tell you I certainly didn't feel old! I think what confirmed it for me was when we were having the band sign our CD cover and the guitar player looked at Deanne and said "best dancers in the house" Now this morning - well I'm feeling a bit old

They did many favorites off of all their CD's. Bring the Rain one of my personal favorites. There were also a couple of new ones from the CD coming out in November. Finally Home and God With Us can both be heard HERE . Then of course they sang I Can Only Imagine, Word of God Speak, One and Only, Blink of an Eye and more.
I was trying to get a picture of the drummers groovy hair and they asked us if we wanted to be in the picture! Can you see the drummers mohawk?, The funny faced man in the white shirt was the one who noticed we were dancing.

So I must take my ringing ears and my tired eyes and finish getting ready for my day. I don't think we'll wonder about who'll be on my IPod today!
